There is no insurance for rental motorbikes in Thailand. However, you can insure your liability for the motorbike rental period in a Thai insurance company. Siam Solution Insurance Company provides insurance for 150 baht per day (regardless of the motorbike brand).
You can purchase insurance at siam-solution-insurance.com/rental-motorbike-insurance. If you have any questions in the process of acquiring insurance, our staff will help you arrange it upon delivery of the motorbike.
To be able to use insurance, you must have a national Class “A” driver’s license (international driver’s license and translation are not needed).
Naturally, you should not drink alcohol while driving. If an insured event occurs, you should contact the insurance company by calling 1557 and provide the insurance policy number.
Maximum coverage makes 10,000,000 baht. However, coverage for each person affected:
- health damage: is up to 100,000 baht;
- property damage: is up to 100,000 baht.
The size of compensation for damage to the rented motorbike does not exceed 8,000 baht, while the deductible is 2,000 baht. That is, if the repair costs 6,000 baht, the insurance will pay 4,000 baht, and you will have to pay 2,000 baht.
To make it easier for you to make a decision on the purchase of insurance, we provide you with the five-year statistics of our company on the returning of 100 motorbikes. In 86% of cases, damage is covered by a sum that does not exceed $100. In 10% of cases, $200 is enough.
Motorbike repair cost amounting to about $300 occurs only in 2.5% of cases of falling off. The accidents that may make you pay more than $300 make 1.5% of all the falls, i.e. they happen about 1-2 times a year.
If an insured event occurs, you need to contact our office by calling 080-892-85-48 or the number used when booking.
The CLICK is a budget solution with no loss in quality. A small scooter with a good engine from its older brother Honda PCX. Bright headlights (halogen optics), combo brakes (when the front brake is applied, both wheels are braked unequally, but in the right proportion), you can hang a bag beneath the steering handle, which allows you to transport large items – it all makes this scooter a successful solution for traveling around the island.
